“Yeah? Ellison.”

“Hey, Jim. Blair.”

“Hey, Chief. What’s up?”

“Uh. Nothing much. Just, um, I love you.”

Pause.

“Ok, Chief, what’d you do this time?”

“Nothing, I swear, man. I just remembered that I didn’t say it this morning and it was bugging me, ‘cause, uh, you know. I do.”

Longer pause.

“Ah.”

“Um. Anyway, I should go... Just thought I’d-”

“Hey.”

“Yeah?”

“Love you, too.”

Pause.

“Jim, man, did you just say that in the bullpen?”

“Yup.”

Longer pause.

“Cool.”

“You wanna meet for lunch somewhere?”

“Yeah, sure. Thai ok?”

“Sounds good to me.”

“Great! Bye, Jim.”

“Bye, Chief.”
